This fine quality hard shaving soap, supplied in a hand turned wooden bowl is specially formulated using essential oils to give a smooth shave leaving the skin soft. For best results use hot water and a shaving brush to work up a rich lather in the bowl, apply it to your beard area and proceed to shave with your preferred shaving razor.

- Not entirely pleased, but nor am I disappointed.
A pleasing scent, and gives a good shave, particularly with good pre-shave products used beforehand.
However, it takes practice to work it up into a good lather, and the lather is quite shortlived once it's on the face. As such, I'd advise shaving parts of your face one at a time, applying lather as you go.
It's also palm oil based, and as such can clog the pores if you have oily or combination skin. I'd like to see less comedogenic oils or more glycerine based shaving soaps ideally, but this one does a decent job if you know its limitations.
