Castle Forbes takes its name from the estate of Lord and Lady Forbes in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The brand grew out of fragrance ideas created for their own home, gradually scaling up to become one of the most luxurious brands in the field of male grooming. Each product bears the Forbes family emblem and is proudly free from parabens, colourings, artificial fragrances and animal testing.
Another unique selling point is Castle Forbes' insistence on using only pure essential oils, rather than more synthetic fragrance combinations; the higher concentration of these pure oils means your skin will feel the effect like never before. If you're looking for a devoted and passionate British brand with great products and highly positive reviews, Castle Forbes is it.
Their Cedarwood and Sandalwood Essential Oil Shaving Cream is very cleansing and suitable for all skin types. It possesses the truly authentic smoky, woody, earthy fragrance of pure sandalwood and cedarwood essential oils, rather than the sickly sweet aroma associated with some sandalwood creams, packed with synthetic perfumes. As always, Castle Forbes' essential oils are sourced from sustainable ventures, and having real sandalwood essential oil here is a treat - it's becoming rarer and rarer in shaving creams.
Their formulation performs fantastically, creating a luscious lather that cushions incredibly well. Moisturising and slick were two aims of Castle Forbes during the creation of this product and we can definitely say they've achieved this. Only a small amount of cream is needed to whip up a superb lather, and each jar should last 5 or 6 months.

- Would never buy again
Not one inkling of any fragrance. Extremely disappointed. The cream is fine for shaving but a total cheek to advertise any smell of sandalwood or cedar wood. I actually feel ripped off
