Wake up and shave in a fresh pine forest every morning with The Goodfellas' Smile Pino Alpestre Shaving Soap. The resinous scent of the famous evergreen is immediately obvious when you lift the lid; The Goodfellas' Smile call this the 'fragrance of the The Bergamasque Alps', a mountain range in Italy.
Pino Alpestre is produced via a hot saponification method, using an innovative mixing process. The result is an extremely high-performing and balanced Italian shaving soap -- these tend to be softer and creamier in consistency than many traditional soaps. As Pino Alpestre is part of The Goodfellas' Smile's AJ-1 range, the special ingredients are argan oil, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil and coconut oil. These oils ensure superior hydration, protection, elasticity, smoothness and general skin improvement.
To use this soap, wet your shaving brush and drain off the excess water. Gently load a small amount of soap onto your brush and then start to whip up a lather in your shaving bowl using a circular motion. Add more water as needed to create the perfect creamy texture. Alternatively you can apply directly to the face and lather up there in a similar way.
While pine is the dominant base note of Pino Alpestre, you'll also find head notes of juniper berries, mint and citrus, and heart notes of eucalyptus and thyme. A very herby, balsamic scent, but one which is not overpowering and doesn't linger too strongly post-shave.
Pino Alpestre Shaving Soap comes in a lovely dark green plastic tub with screw top lid. At 150ml you get 50% more than other soaps in The Goodfellas' Smile range for the same price. Fans of this product may also like to try their Lemon & Mint Shaving Soap.
