The Obsessive Soap Perfectionist Lemon & Cedarwood Shaving Soap begins with a strong hit of citrus and lemon before mellowing out into a fresh cedar wood fragrance that invigorates the senses.
- Great, but maybe not for everyone
The quality of the soap is undoubtedly in my opinion absolute great. Harder that a croap, but softer than a triple milled. Just as I like it. It lathers well with any kind of brush. Slickness, cushion, foam, post-shave is all great. It is just that this particular scent does not sit well with me (or my wife). To me it has almost a kind of rancid scent, and I would be happy to use it as my only soap until it was empty if I just had enjoyed the scent a bit. Besides that, it ticks all my boxes. I hate to give a review like this because scent is a very subjective thing. The reason I do it is so maybe others that have never tried the brand might consider to try with a more neutral scent, because the soap itself is true craftsmanship it the most positive meaning of the word.
