This is a triple-refined, tallow-based product and the prevailing note is the classic tallow smell that reminds us of soap making from many moons ago – truly the ancient recipe.

It’s refined and vintage in all ways and represents the Italian craftsmanship of the past. The colour of the soap is a mild buttery yellow, and there’s a wonderful, delicate citrus fragrance along with the rich notes of the tallow. The Saponificio Bignoli company was established in Italy in 1945 and has been handed down from generation to generation. This is a very creamy and soft soap from which maximum yield can be obtained moistening the brush with hot water, adding a small amount of soap to it and working with circular movements in a shaving bowl – this will create a thick and creamy foam. Application to the moistened face will prepare the skin by coating it for a gentle and effective shave.
