The Original Recipes range aims to combine traditional ingredients with a modern apothecary style, “a return to time-honoured, traditional ingredients with beneficial extracts”.

Triple-milled soaps contain less water and more soap, leading to a product that is silkier and more pleasant to the touch. The lather produced will be richer than that found from a regular bar of soap and the bar will be much longer lasting. 

Shea butter and buttermilk have been renowned for their rich moisturising properties for centuries, making them ideal ingredients to sit at the heart of the Scottish Fine Soaps Shea and Buttermilk range.

The lactic acid found in buttermilk acts as a natural exfoliant, improving the texture of skin as well as being incredibly moisturising and soothing. It is non-oily and deeply cleansing, improving the tightness of skin over time.

The soap has a rich, comforting scent with top notes of lavender, mandarin, and sweet Brazilian orange. This is complemented by a touch of garden herbs, a floral body of classic lily of the valley, fresh soya milk, creamy coconut milk, tonka, crushed vanilla, shea butter, and patchouli.

For best results, lather with warm water over wet skin and rinse. This luxury soap bar will be long lasting, even with frequent use. It is suitable to use as either a hand soap or for full body use.
