At The English Shaving Company we are passionate about the environment and try at all times to reduce, reuse and recycle. That said we do sell very beautiful and luxurious products so we have an obligation to deliver them in pristine condition and consequently much of the product packaging is very smart and new. We stipulate to suppliers that new packaging should be produced using a minimum 50% recycled material. We hope our customers won’t object that whenever possible we re-use our supplier packaging as fillers and as outer shipping cartons. We donate unwanted packaging to local charity shops and community organisations to use and we re-cycle damaged unusable paper, card, plastic and glass. In 2008 we introduced a service for waste paper and card collection. The recycled paper and card is reused locally. We try to keep our systems paperless but when it is necessary to print documentation we use both sides of printer paper. We will strive to continually improve our environmental systems and procedures. Whenever we introduce new products to the site we consider their impact on the environment and on our customers. E.g. The Edwin Jagger natural shaving collection; produced using 99.9% natural and organic plant ingredients. One of our main suppliers Edwin Jagger is also committed to its own very positive environmental policy of Reduce, Re-use and Recycle.
